Maddie is our third daughter to participate in our local Junior Miss Scholarship Program. And as far as I'm concerned, she was a winner!!! She looked beautiful, played the violin with total confidence and beauty and walked with pure poise and grace.
These past 2 months she has worked so hard and was never late to her 6 am practices. She learned a lot and was actually sad when it was over. With the exception of Tanner & Brett , the whole family was there to cheer her on. We had a great weekend laughing, doing hair 4 nights in a row, choking on all the hairspray, and basking in the attention of family and friends.
Her greatest fear was going before the judges for their impromtu interview. Maddie came home smiling from ear to ear and felt like it went really well. We ar so proud of Maddie and for all the hard work she put into being and doing the best she could!!!!
We had the time of our lives with Aubrey and her little.....um yea right! boy Jay here for ten days. Aubrey is always so fun to be around and her laugh is infectious! They came to mainly support Maddie in her Junior Miss program but to also be around mom's cooking, mom's laugh and for mom to get up with Jay and play from 1-3 a.m. with him!!! WE miss having them both around but especially realize how fast these little ones grow up and that we will miss out on a lot of Jay's development. He is the happiest little baby I have ever seen! Much like his mom when she was little...............until she turned 2! He laughs and giggles at almost everything and despite his airplane ride, time change and over-stimulation from Grandpa, Grandma and aunts and uncles, he was fantastic. Aubrey wasn't too bad to be around either!!! Love your guts you two and yes we missed Brett coming!
