It was that T.I.M.E. again!!!!!

The following are just a few photos and memories of the R&J reunion 2010. Everyone was able to be there and we had a wonderful time making moments into memories. I want to especially thank our wonderful children and their families for the huge efforts they made to all be together again! I hope and pray that each year we can all make T.I.M.E. for our family!

You gotta see this to believe it folks............

For all the thousands of you who heard that Ron would NEVER get a cell phone take a look at the pictures below....... 
He finally took the plunge! Finally made the switch! Finally joined the club! However you say it, Ron has arrived! It has been fun to watch him and his new HTC Hero Droid. (I don't now what in the heck all that means but Tanner and Lon said it's a good one!) 
I have already received multiple texts myself and he went to the grocery store, called me from his new phone and asked me to whisper "sweet nothings" to him. I obliged and said with a tender voice, "Onions, bread & corn flakes." Oh what fun we will all have. And the best news of all is that he can now call each and every one of the kids and their spouses for free. Free for us and Free for them! It doesn't get any better than this!


Just one warning for any of you well-seasoned texters...be patient. Don't expect a response immediately, he's got a lot to learn!!!  

Well...that's it FOLKS! Now what are we going to do!

So here's the deal...the youngest child graduates. What does that mean exactly? More money for Ron and I to spend on each other? No more violin, piano, oboe, trumpet, or trombone lessons? Smaller food budget? No more t-ball, little league football, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, softball, baseball games or camps for every sport? No more band, choir or orchestra concerts or camps?
No more Junior Miss Programs, fundraisers every weekend, senior parties, field days, lock-ins, PTO Boards, report cards, read-a-thons, or school dances? No more first dates, back to school nights, drivers license tests, parent-teacher conferences, team dinners or chaperoning? No more yearbooks, senior pictures, tardies, school lunches, walking around the corner in sub-zero weather?
No more after midnight talks, sharing tears over boys...or girls..., throwing cookies on to the bar, toilet papering, clever ways to ask and answer to dances, spirit days, day-dates, curfews?
Where have all those wonderful years gone? The memories come back so quickly! Did I enjoy my children enough? Did I listen to them enough? Did I lecture too much? What memories will they have of me as they grew up? Are they prepared to meet their future? Did they get enough hugs from mom and dad? Will they still need me?

Ron and I find ourselves in a new place in our lives...together again...without many interruptions. "Jill, we are going to have to find things that we both enjoy doing together again." It really is an interesting feeling after consuming myself with my children for 26 years and then accepting they really are gone! I guess it's good they don't need me...maybe I taught them something! Now all the games I will watch will be the next generation! I can't wait to attend my first piano recital as Grandma Jill! I hope my tandem bike is still around when the grandkids can reach the pedals!

But most of all I can't wait until the T.I.M.E. when we have our Annual Ron Anderson Family Reunion. See you in a couple of months kids!

A truly "Chile" Christmas!!

As you can see by the following pictures, we had a most warm, sunny, watery and unforgettable Christmas this year. We decided to go to Chile to visit Rick and Tiffany and their kids. All I can say is that we had a blast! Hiking, swimming...on Christmas even...zip line, beaches, blue sky, kayaking, STRATEGO with Hyrum, sleeping with the windows open, White water rafting in POLAR water, hot springs at the base of the Andes Mountains, random Llamas walking around our cabin, shopping, seeing Tanner's best friend Elder Brett Evans, talking to Elder Tanner on Christmas day, sun-kissed skin...even Ronald, the PICKLE, no cell phone for Maddie, jumping on a water trampoline in the Pacific Ocean, card games, watching the Sorensen kids jump for total joy at the sight of American cereal and the list goes on and on. Bottom line.......
Every moment will be a memory! Thanks to our host family.
