Girl's Camp '09
There's nothing better than going to girl's camp...especially with Maddie. WE had a great group of 13 girls and our good friends and neighbors let us use their ranch for the festivities! What kind of camping is that you ask???
With so much rain, hail and wind we had to improvise a little but still managed to go hike up the Palisades complete with 'mock' accidents for first aid training, dutch oven cooking, reflector oven cookies, fire pit pizzas, whittling stix, staying up until 4 a.m. and then waking the girls by piano and singing by the leaders at 7 a.m. AHHHH the joys of being in charge!!! Best part of the whole week was being with Maddie. Never a dull moment and never a silent moment. Love her and her laughter!!! Thanks Maddie for being my friend.

Some of the treasures in Champaign!!!
This is little Kayla Michelle Evans. the newest addition to the family. An absolute angel.
Grandma and I had one of the funnest times at the local grocery store called Shnucks. Funny that that is what I called my brother John growing up. Inside there were mounds of surprises: Seating benches named after Grandma Phyllis, Danish cookie signs, and some food items labeled different than what we are used to. Actually these pics were taken to tease Aunt Carrie about how much
OH! WhAt dO YoU Do iN tHe sUmMerTIme?
So here's the deal...as Maddie would say! Many of you know that Rexburg weather can be...well...shall we say under-the-weather and fickle at times and so finding warm, enjoyable and fun summer fun can be hard to find. Maddie and I have just the thing for anyone whether you live in Rexburg or not. All it takes is a little electricity, a camera and your common every day leaf blower! (Oh yea, and do it before you shower)
Yep, you heard me right...your leaf blower.
Yep, you heard me right...your leaf blower.
What better way to get your lawn mowed and yard work finished than to bribe your kids with
"after work fun"? Maddie and I mowed the lawn and then decided to 'play' with the leaf blower when we were done! The following are just a few ideas you can have with your kids. We laughed so hard and took so many pictures and then it dawned on us, "What if the patients from the hospital (which is right across the street) were watching us?" That just made us laugh even harder!
Don't be shy, don't be afraid, but do have fun! As a matter of fact, next week is girl's camp...I think we going to take the leaf blower!!!!
